In 2025 – 2026, the NAP set a goal to host at least one culturally relevant workshop, one land-based workshop, and regular educational workshops for students, faculty, staff, and community members each term. With the success and interest, we've continued our goal. These workshops are led by either current students, NAP Staff, or guests from across Turtle Island as a way for students to learn or enhance a traditional craft, learn from different communities, connect to Wabanaki communities, and the Kwinitekw (Connecticut) River.  

Workshop topics have included natural dyes, Cherokee basket weaving, ribbon skirt & shirt making, Powwow dance, storytelling and pottery, zine-making, Houma basket weaving, and more.
