NAP Cultural Workshops

In 2025 – 2026, the NAP set a goal to host at least one culturally relevant workshop, one land-based workshop, and regular educational workshops for students, faculty, staff, and community members. These workshops were led by either current students, NAP Staff, or guests from across Turtle Island as a way for students to learn or enhance a traditional craft, learn from different communities, connect to Wabanaki communities, and the Kwinitekw (Connecticut) River.

Workshop topics have included natural dyes, Cherokee basket weaving, ribbon skirt & shirt making, Powwow dance, storytelling and pottery, zine-making, Houma basket weaving, and more.
