Mission
The Native American Program champions Indigenous students through holistic support, cultural programming, values-centered leadership development, and dedicated living-learning spaces. The program partners with faculty, staff, and student organizations across the institution to uphold Dartmouth's founding charter through collaboration, training, and educational opportunities.
Values
The Native American Program's core values are community, culture, responsibility, and reciprocity. These values are woven throughout all facets of the program including staff supervision and development, community programming, and educational initiatives.
Land Acknowledgement
Dartmouth is situated upon the ancestral and unceded lands of the Abenaki people. This acknowledgement reminds us of the significance of place, the continued existence of Indigenous people, and Dartmouth's commitment to building respectful relationships with those who call these lands home today.
